Adolf Dehn (pronounced Dane) (b. 1895- d. 1968) painted scenes of New York and New Yorkers over the course of his 50+ year career as a professional artist. This exhibition includes paintings, watercolors, drawings and lithographs depicting Central Park, the night clubs of Harlem and city scenes. This exhibition coincides with a museum tour of Adolf Dehn New York scenes on display at the Fairfield University Art Museum in Connecticut that next travels to the Sheldon Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute, Indiana. Also a new book by Philip Eliasoph on Adolf Dehn in New York will be published in 2017.
