Dinner with Artists: Conrad Williams and Bob Schultz

A Florida native, Conrad Williams has been creating with glass since 1998. He received his BFA from California College of the Arts in glass and sculpture. He settled into the Northwest after completing a year-long internship with Ben Moore and Dale Chihuly. In 2008, Conrad and Erin Williams opened Studio West, an interactive gallery and glassblowing studio. The studio served as a venue for Conrad to create and as a teaching facility that was rated as the number one thing to do in Eugene, Oregon. Shortly after the birth of his first son, Conrad and Erin returned to their hometown, Naples, FL to pursue their creative endeavors. Conrad’s work continues to draw from the heritage of Italian techniques, while appreciating Scandinavian simplicity.

Executive Chef Bob Schultz received his education at both Sophia University in Tokyo and The Culinary Institute of America. In 1978 he was awarded “Most Likely to Succeed” by The Culinary Institute. His expertise as a chef has been recognized in cities throughout the United States including Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco, Scottsdale and St Louis. Chef Bob a Philadelphia native has been in the profession for over 40 years. He has served in the American Culinary Federation as Apprenticeship Chair as well as Chairman for the 1994 Mid Western Regional Conference. He is also a DIRONA award winner for best chef. He was a member of Conference De La Chaine Des Rotisseurs. Chef Bob’s Hard Work, Dedication, Direction and Passion has been recognized and awarded many times including: Hospitality Industry of St. Louis “Chef of the Year” USA Top 50 Chefs, Conde Nast Top 25, 4 Diamond Triple A, 4 Star Mobile, Hospitality Industry of St Louis Restaurant of the Year Award and Dinora Award for Top Restaurant.
