Mark Saturday, May 4th on your calendar for Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve’s FREE Day of coastal fun – National Estuaries Day 2024! There will be something for everyone in the family – kayak demos on the water, art, kids’ crafts and activities, food, nature and wildlife exhibits, marine-life touch tank, boat tours, art gallery exhibit and FREE admission all day to the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center. It’s also an opportunity to learn about the research and conservation efforts taking place at Rookery Bay including sea turtle nest monitoring, juvenile shark research, shorebird and seabird monitoring, water quality as well as natural history, indigenous peoples and pioneers.  Visit RookeryBay.org to learn more.
