From Chaos to Harmony: Art from War-torn regions
Exhibit from Nov 26-Dec 3 at EWFA 2425 Tamiami Tr. N.

Jamie Treadwell, urban monk and artist transforms war and devastation into a time of planting and rebirth. From 6-8pm on Saturday, November 26th meet Jamie as he presents his newest series of abstract paintings and a short film titled “Hope.”

Treadwell’s painting has been a creative stream running alongside his work internationally as a creator and leader of transformational organisations in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. He co-founded and directed the national award-winning charity Youth Initiatives in the difficult context of the Troubles in Northern Ireland

Jamie’s landscapes draw from his experience in the Middle East and Lebanon in particular. The trees are the ubiquitous Lebanese Pines. Tall, elegant, vulnerable, clustering in relationship, reflecting light, speaking of hope.
